Default Opinions please

Hi All
Can I have your opinions on the 2 repro Canadian Wings. Top is meant to be a British made version and the bottom ? - both are WW2.They are not to be used in a collection but to be worn on a Denison at military shows/events etc.
regards Jon

Why do you believe that the bottom wing is a reproduction? Looks like a 1960's issue wing to me. I don't believe that either would be ideal for a WW2 impression although the top wing is of a known pattern it was also rarely encountered and I think when reenacting it is best to go with items which were commonly used.

The bottom wing I bought from SOF about 5 years ago and the top wing was bought in September from a repro badge dealer/maker both being sold as repro and ww2.The top one looks a bit too straight hence I was seeking opinions on them.
Regards Jon

The top wing is a private purchase style that was available in England in late 1944. Not appropriate IMO for a typical representation but not totally incorrect. The bottom wing appears to me to be an original from the 60's. It is similar to an early style wing with the exception that it has a modern style maple leaf which is quite obviously not of the correct time period. You could probably find an original late 1940's or 50's wing for a reasonable price that would be much more suitable.
