It's correct. The yellow metal and long slider are the tell-tales. The genuine RE are made from the same yellow brass.

I bought it from RBJ Militaria in Plymouth as a genuine badge. BJ has always played fair with me. He thought it was genuine and so did I - but we all make mistakes. Feel relieved now someone from the badge forum agrees.
