Default ebay - block sellers in listings

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if its possible to block certain sellers from showing up in ebay listings?

I'm quite sick of seeing the same old peddlers of fake items (one unfortunately with 10,000+ feedback - I feel for the suckers buying from them) having their listings constantly showing up in ebay listings.

It would be nice to be able to block the crap/fake sellers and just see other items.

Is it possible?

Mick

Hi Mick

Whilst it is possible to block bidders from bidding It is not possible to block sellers. Good idea though.

I think ebay probably won't allow it as they don't want to lose revenue.

But yes, its would be nice if possible.

Anything you don't want to appear in a search on eBay, just put a - (dash/ minus sign) in front of it.

Also, if you want to search for many things at the same time, enclose them within brackets.

For example, one of my saved searches is:-

(Yorkshire, yorks, KOYLI, riding, rasc, asc, rct, rlc, r.signals, signals) -"US Army" -german -photo -photgraph -photographic -postcard -boots -wallet -tax -keyring -iPhone -sticker -credit -fob -watch -glasses -belt -mug -lighter -tie -cufflinks -shirt -clock -photograph -plaque -ipad -"cuff links", -badgeman2005, -badgeman2012

Hope that helps.

Cheers,

Andy C

Thanks Andy but not really useful to me.

I just scroll through the categories (Newly Listed items) and that's where I see a swag of IMHO undesirable sellers peddling fake and other crap.

I'd love to be able to block them out

Mick

Hi Mick,
If you have a saved search you do to look for badges you can use it to only show listed items from your saved sellers.

It might help.

I couldn't agree more. I seem to spend more time viewing page after page of key word spammers than, I do actually viewing good quality lots. By allowing such people to list junk they do the people who are listing valuable lots a disservice, in my opinion, by making their good quality goods harder to find.

The only way I know of to filter is to use the category column on the left hand side, but by doing that you'll lose the general public who do not know that the badge they have is military. Its a catch 22.

I used to have the same problem - hence why I set up a search - I just look at the results and the sort newly listed or ending soonest.

Your entry into the search box doesn't have to be complicated - just badges -badgeman2005 -badgeman2012 (as an example) would do it.

You don't even have to save it as a search.

cheers,

Andy C
