I believe this chap is pre first world war Turkish Cavalry. Anyone have any idea what his unit name was? or approximate year?

Hi,

French. 3eme (3rd) régiment de chasseurs d’Afrique. A cavalry unit serving in North Africa in the end 20’s / 30’s, according to his uniform.

Hello,

Maybe not as far as you think. Cavalry is not in my main domains of interest & I am far from my doc now, but watching again this ‘Chass d’Af’ pic, it might well be that it could have been taken ~ one decade earlier (in the 1910’s).
Any town indication printed on the background which could help at zooming more on the likely time period?
