Are you sure it is a shoulder strap badge Marc? It appears to be the metal part of a 1953 to 1985 collar badge.

Luc, If it is then please enlighten me about the dates. I have not found any collar badges with those fittings only screw posts.

You are correct Marc, I used a website to ID these and apparently their information was wrong. It is a shoulder strap badge worn on the British style battle dress after the war.
