Default RAMC cap badge date

Gents, can anyone give me a time date for the attached RAMC example? I'm trying to divine if WW1 or WW2 period . . .

The same pattern badge was worn from 1902/3 to 1948/9 and there were many variations due to different manufacturers, so difficult to tell whether it is WWI or WWII.

I have found that if you can get good portrait pictures of RAMC soldiers showing the Cap badge, some examples of badges can be attributed to WWI and/or WWII but having said that a WWI period produced badge could quite easily be issued and worn during WWII.

Your example has very poor definition and the title on the scroll is also very poor. I have not seen an example like this before adding to the difficulty of attributing to either WWI or WWII

Many thanks for that - in fact now I'm looking at it more closely, it may even be a reasonable sand cast badge - so possibly theatre made . Like much we find, I guess we'll never know.
