A/A Badge Collection
Hi I would like to thank all members who have given me the benefit of there knowledge both privately and in public to the betterment of this project to increase our understanding of what is out there one last request if any one hears or sees any badges that are for sale could you please give me a heads up once again many many thanks chris

Hi Chris,
Have sent you images of 10 badges including a rare Oxford Uni UTC. By the way: the book records 671 occurrences of manufacturers against badges so if you take this further and break down these manufacturers to their different markings then there are a lot of different badges to record. At the time of printing, the most common manufacturer of A/A cap badges was Gaunt with 188 known badges. The companies that made the least, with just 4 each, was G.S Tye and Shaw Munster. Of course, such figures are subject to revision as more pieces come to light. Regards Chris |
