Here is the reverse. As I said, no indication from the reverse of an overlay. If I were skilled with a camera, vice using my scanner, I could get a side view that clearly shows that it is an overlay and not silver plate.

Default Another distinct die found...

Found another distinct design variation to add to my collection. I'm lumping this one in with what I refer to as "Type 2", but really it is a little different from all the others.

I acquired this thanks to member, Arctic Medals a few weeks ago. A very heavy badge with deep, detailed stamping and a slider. Has anyone else come across this type of slider? It is very heavy brass with a more blunt end than I've typically seen on sliders.

Also this leaf design is similar (but not quite the same) as that used on several of CEF Infantry Bn badge. As the badge is unmarked, I was hoping to find die similarities to another, perhaps 'marked" badge to pinpoint the maker and period issued. My feeling is that this is a UK made badge perhaps from the interwar period and not CEF.

I've not seen another one like this before. Anyone else with the same badge?
