Default Officer Cadet Training Unit OCTU badge

hi all
just arrived and wanted your thoughts on this badge.
looks like Variation one in Mark & Arthur's book.
wouldn't normally buy a cast badge but it was too cheap to pass up.
cheers

Default Cast badge

I was an officer cadet at Wacol. The rsm gave me a couple the same as pictured. They were unofficially worn prior to my course

I had some correspondence about variations of these badges a few years ago, can't remember the details. I THINK that the cast one is actually correct even though you wouldn't think so to look at it.

By any chance was the RSM the late Neville Modystack? He gave me the anodised OCTU badge that he wore quite a few years ago.
