Default Unidentified arab badge and title

Attention Arab experts. Please give me a shove in the right direction.

1st and 2nd are front and reverse of the same badge, appears to be made in thin brass. It has 2 thin lugs. It looks like Sultan of Oman Armed Forces badge but not as ornate as shown in various images on the Forum. 3rd is a chromed title solid with 2 lugs on reverse, is it the right way up, and what does it mean? Thanks in advance.

Hi Martin

The badge is the standard Oman cap badge, from the 1970s. See here for a pristine example: http://www.britishbadgeforum.com/for...ead.php?t=5040.

The shoulder title is that of the Sultan's Armed Forces Training Regiment from the 1980s. Abbreviation SAF TR pronounced Saf Tee Arr. In Arabic Kateba Tradreeb Quwat Sultan Oman. And Yes it's right way up!

Eddie,

Thanks for that. Problem solved, again!
