Default Railways badge

Hello again,
I know this is strictly not a military badge. But I was hopeful someone may be able to identify it anyway and have a more distinct pic. of the badge. As far as I know the photo was most probably late 20's and its a SA Railways badge.
Any help appreciated.
Tony

It's probably a 'Conductor' badge. Just the word conductor in running text, which I believe they wore in their caps.
Cheers,
Alex
