Rorke's Drift - or something similar
I have noted the discussion about TV programs and their inaccuracies as regards uniforms , badges etc. Maybe the producers of such programs know that they are going to annoy some folk "who know 'and invite the debate. I guess that any discussion is better than no discussion.
That said, when I opened my copy of the Mercury yesterday this picture struck a jarring note. Labelled ,"Rorke's Drift " , it clearly isnt. The boys at the siege would have loved to have had the manpower displayed, even if their rifles were a little old fashioned. Can anyone identify the unit and the action ? Regards Mike |

Hi Mike
Ya, I was pretty disgusted with that as well. I wrote a scathing note to the paper but it wasn't published today. Probably don't care! Cheers, Alex |

Could be a BBC production of Rorke's Drift, same military advisor as The Last Post.
