Default Inniskilling Fusiliers Size of badges

Did not wish to confuse so posting seperate, here are size of the badges using Vernier and set to the "Imperial" system which is what would have been in use, First badge (beaten up slider) to the Left, and the second badge to the Right, hope they carry side by side?

Checking the badges on First badge this has "Dings" which give a false reading as trying to use the flat Anvil of Vernier to get readings, using Knife edges on lowest point am gettingva reading off :- 1.2905" so both badges close on this dimension.

If one or both of these are wrong, fair enough perhaps they may be used for comparison to help others seeking clarification, being both different dies, check out the Flags width of stripes!

Enjoy and Sapper hooe this may help your badge, its getting to be a difficult hobbie with amount of copies which like you I keep for comparison, gap fillers (will never afford the price of WW1 Volunteer Pals Battalion badges!
Hi Billy,
Left one is good IMO. Right one definitely bad.
All the best, Luke

Hi billy.
Thanks for taking time and effort to put pictures of your badges up.
Mine is closer to your “ right badge “ but even then yours is still better than mine.
Like your left hand badge.
Think it’s a great idea to show people what is wrong with badge ETC.
Chris
