Default Tracking down buttons

Hi everyone,
Can any of you knowledgeable people give me some tips on how you procure military buttons.
I am finding up here in the north of England very difficult to hunt them out i have found a few online site's,
Kellys badges, badges of the world and a few others after a google search.
I am interested for the moment in amassing a collection of the pre 1881 line regiments of foot and mainly the large officers gilt buttons.

Any help and advice would be most welcomed.

Thanks Jimi

Thanks for the replies folks,
Just checked out warenevanz over on ebay.
Does he only sell on ebay international? As i could not locate him on ebay.uk
I must say the buttons on his listing are of great quality.
I will be sure to scout out Facebook for any groups on there.
Thanks again for your time and efforts.

Jimi.

Hi Jimi,

I finished my collection in July last year and posted a photo of it on this site. I bought the majority of the buttons (90)on Ebay from a variety of sellers including the two mentioned in the above posts as well as kentjester. I also trawled the dealers on militariamart.com such as Dead Spartan and Quartermasters Stores.
Good luck in your collecting.

Hi Jimi

Not sure if they'll have what you are looking for, but you can try Golden Age Buttons, if you haven't already: http://www.goldenagebuttons.co.uk/

Hi Jimi,

It took me about 18 months to collect them all. I then went back to collecting Chinese Treaty Ports related buttons which was my original theme.

Roger at goldenagebutton.co.uk is winding down his site - so if he has any buttons available you may need to be quick.
