The widest badge I imagine is the unofficial one worn by airborne tank crew.
Luc,

Is this the IoC badge you refer to (officer's beret badge)?

Dimensions: H = 85mm x W = 70mm

I know we have been round this before but I say the 13th/18th Hussars which is a cap badge.
The dog paw is an unnofficial pin badge worn in the beret WITH a cap badge it is not strictly a cap badge.

Tim,

Would you happen to know the size of the 13th/18th Hussars?

Cool Dogs paw

Sorry forum members if I muddied the waters on this thread, of course the red dogs paw is an unofficial "trade badge", but still worn alongside the parent units cap badge in the headdress, hence me saying it was the smallest cap badge.
