RCAF cap badge
HEllo, picked this up yesturday. Seller claims WW2 manufactured. Was this a WW2 design or up to 1952? Could it be for the Womens Division? Pin back and metal lighter weight then the WAR time piece.

Yes war time, yes worn up to and past the Coronation. The RCAF WD did wear this as well. The pin back is unusual. They were issued with lugs the previous owner may had this converted. I have seen different types of backs including yours. Hope this helps.

Thanks, yes it is the pin back that makes me think 1946-52 manufactured. Lighter weight and construction.

The Air Forces Association has sold reproduction cap badges, but I do not know what sort of fastener they have.
