Default American Items

It occurs to me that there might be scope for at least some consideration of American items, if only because they sometimes turn up in collections and then require identification. In this context, I assume that these cloth badges are from a WWII American airborne unit?

The badges are for the US Army Air Corps. The first is US-made (all embroidered), while the second appears to be British made (embroidered on felt).
