Default WW2 unknown badge

Dear Gentlemen,

I would need your knowledge to identify a breast badge (the one with the skull at the bottom of the picture) worn by a WW2 Free French pilot. This badge seems to be from Eastern origin though we can't manage to determine more about it.

Any info about it would be hugely appreciated.
All the very best
Phil

It looks rather like being Polish or even Finnish

Good research, notice the rays of the star are missing as is the enamel on the top (A) and bottom (U) arms of the cross, which might well be of significance as Free French forces were known to have adapted various badges from other nations, both modified and unmodified, for their own use.

Rgds, Thomas.

Thumbs up

Merci Thomas. J'ai obtenu un scna plus précis de l'insigne, les 4 lettres y figurent bien! (I got a more detailed scan and the 4 letters are well present on the badge)
