Desert Cats Patch....Canadian Air Force
Here is an example of a repro Desert Cats patch. Does someone have an authentic example for comparison?

I don't have the patch but I do have a nice squadron history book I had picked up at a gunshow... Desert Cats... The Canadian Fighter Squadron In The Gulf War.. edited by Captain David N Deere...

OP FRICTION Patch
I don't have the CATS patch but do have an original OP FRICTION patch. Not sure if it helps, but I imagine the construction would be the same as the original CATS patch.

Geoff, Who wore that patch? The air contingent, naval contingent, army or all?

I bought this shortly after the Gulf War and was told it was worn by Airforce types. But, I suppose it could have been worn by others as well. Do you need this one? Geoff |

Here is a scan of one I just bought.
It has some differences from Bill's - notably some of the outlining and the fins on the missiles. I remember Bernie Derbach had a business making badges and patches a few years ago. I know he had some Op Friction Patches. Phil
