Lothian and Border Horse?

Does anyone know what this badge is.... the closest i can get to it is L&B Horse... anyone know, any help appreciated..

It looks very like the Lothian and Borders Horse but the base is wrong.
No sign of there having been lugs or a slider so I'd guess it's not military.
Looks very much like one half of a belt clasp to me. There'd've been another with a flat hook to join the two together base to base and a leather strap stitched to one bar and looped through the other bar to an adjusting buckle.
Just the sort of witty novelty that Victorian ladies liked.
