Royal Naval button
Clearly British made but for who's navy? I have checked various Naval Button identification sites and cannot find out what it is. It does not appear to be Australian, Canadian, South African or Indian.

It is South African Harbour Board, in use 1936-1960.

Hello Alex,
Royal Australian Naval Brigade officers' button, 1917-1920, according to Cmdr John Wilkins RANR in his A Brief History of Australian and British Naval Buttons, Buckles, Banners, Badges, and Braid, 1748-2006, 5th Edition. Keith |

If anyone is interested, I have a spare RANB button and some RAN lazy anchor buttons for exchange.
