The seller seems to have a quantity of items for sale which are “Sealed Standard Patterns”. These patterned items are intended to be sent to manufacturers to enable contract production in quantity. As such the item is unlikely to be ‘experimental’.

Large quantities of “Sealed Standard Patterns” which are surplus to requirements or obsolete have been disposed of by the Ministry of Defence in the last 10 years and there are many in this Forum group album.
