Its a very small sample group here. Not necessarily representative of the whole UK's feelings.

I think most people have no opinion/feelings about him.

As Phil says you have a very small sample size on here which I would suggest is mostly in the +25 years old age bracket and feelings towards them statistically varies drastically between age groups.

The below YouGov survey results are from March.

My personal opinion is I strongly suspect their subsequent interviews and podcasts will only have further decreased their popularity amongst the +25 age groups. It’s debatable whether it’s had a positive effect on the 18-24s.

Very interesting reading your comments. Although mine were all in jest, I do realize it is a serious matter. I am an Anglophile since boyhood and we thought seriously about moving over there. I am also a fan of the Royals and the heritage it reflects of the UK. In our home we speak of Her majesty the Queen with the utmost respect, and always will. What an amazing lady she is.

Luke the survey results you shared are alarming, but not surprising. You just don't kiss and tell and expect to have any respect left. And, I might add - his comments are his/their opinions, really, so just from his/perspective perspective.

Terry

I endorse what has been said and I am a great believer in tradition and the sense of history that goes with it. Look, we wouldn't be part of this great hobby of ours if we didn't have some sense of the past.

It has led me to meet some truly kind, generous, intelligent people (both male and female!). I like to think that they return the respect that I treat them with.

Long may this continue....

Did I hear or read that he became a Drunk Junkie
As said that if he stayed in the Military things may have been different and now he is in the USA maybe he should give up the title Duke of Sussex ( I live in Sussex by the way) and become the Joke of California

I wish he had paid more attention to the way his Grandfather lived his life and conducted himself and had behaved in a manner befitting his position and Family.

Don't let the facts get in the way of a good rant.

As for the "Ginger Whinger" (as you call him) , there would probably be a petition started but not about taking the piss ..... only about using the term 'Ginger'
My post was about how in these P.C days any 'perceived' insult is deemed to cause offence and was in no way "supporting" anyone.

He wouldn't have got away with his 'claims' on British TV , the American media/Oprah just accepted what he said and didn't question the statements. Imagine if Jeremy Paxman or Piers Morgan were doing the interview !

The 'racist' claim was met with 'shock/horror' without any question about the circumstances/enviroment the comment was made in.

Family/Friends/Soldiers all make comments about new babies , would it have its Grandad's ears (Charles) or its dads (ginger) hair and most would wonder (with mixed race) which 'genetical' features it would inherit . Racist or simply curiosity .

I have no doubt that during his military service he made 'racist' comments (Arabs/Muslims) and 'sexist' (how many squaddies didn't) but due to his position/status these were ignored . Now he's opened the floodgates and may well be shown for the hypocrite he is.

Mike, I was not referring to your comments in that previous thread, I was referring to a completely different and much earlier thread about the dickhead. I would appreciate it if you would get your facts right first.

This thread has nothing whatsoever to do with badges and has now become a spat between members.

Moderators it should be closed or removed.
