Unvoided Suffolk Regt
I have this unvoided Suffolk Regt cap badge which I may offer for sale later, I think these date from WWII, but have no knowledge of who manufactured them, any help appreciated.

I have one with provenance collected in the 1940s.

Unvoided Suffolk Regt
Alan, many thanks for your reply, I thought WWII, but you could well be correct in saying Great War era.
The Suffolk Regt during the Great War seemed to issue several types of badges for other ranks apart from the normal three tower badge and the 1916 economy "all brass" they issued the two tower Kings crown which should never have existed as the regulations by then stated that all the "Gibraltar" Regts should have a standard three tower castle. This badge would have saved time voiding around the castle and I have had Suffolk badges that have not been well voided. Regards Rob |
