Default ROYAL IRISH RIFLES QVC

Not an expert on Victorian badges, but picked up this 64mm high RIR cap badge, has two stout lugs north and south. Looks original, can anyone confirm this ?

Default Irish Rifles Badge.

Hi. Badge is an Officers Astrakan Busby Badge worn approx. 1897-1902, although some Officers continued to wear QVC badges after the adoption of the Kings Crown. The badge also turns up in Silver, Oxydised W/M and Bronze versions.

I agree and it looks good to me I would be happy to have it in my collection. Also worn in the Pagri by officers see dress regs 1900, page 97 & plate 60.

The 1900 dress regs John mentions where this badge is described as a puggaree and next to it for comparison my badge in near mint condition
