Default Air Crew Medal

Saw this one the other day.
After briefly reading online what to look for with fakes it appears this is a good one?

Thanx for the help.

Cheers!

I can't see everything in your photo but it seems to have the right signs of a good ACE Star.
Cheers,
Alex

Thanx Alex for the reply.
Whats throwing me off is the color and how bright it is.

Maybe just an un-issued original? There are also a few original un-issued South Afican ones around which are plated and very bright but they have a smooth texture.
Not the greatest photo but I've attached my SA one next to a British one for comparison.
Cheers,
Alex

The Star's actually issued to South African airman are really quite rare, they only very seldom turn up these days.
