I think they wore an a/a collar. There is a photo of this on the forum.

This I believe is the collar badge worn in the cap by the Lancashire Regiment (Prince of Wales's Volunteers) for a short period from end of wearing the Lancastrian Brigade cap badge until amalgamation with the Loyals to form the Queen's Lancashire Regiment in 1970.
