Not a feature I would use, I prefer a public thanks if indeed one is needed. Just clicking 'Thanks' seems lazy to me!

You can still thank someone in a post if you prefer, But dont you think it's nice that someone who may have posted a picture and had 100 views but not no replies can now get 10 thanks rather than NOTHING at all

Its all different, I don't like it

If someone answers a question for me I like to say thank you, but how will I know which type of thanks he/she prefers, i.e. polite thank you in new message box or swift impersonal press of a button, I could do both but that seems to make this new thingamajig superfluous.

I could understand this new system if the forum was becoming over full and costing our generous host Mike more money or if all these thank you posts were clogging up the forum, is that the case?
