Ben, I like your style! I would comment on the tomato itself but I would probably then be accused of being culpable in the invasion of Poland in 1939!

Some Marines in the US did assist in the apprehension of a shoplifter but there were no altercations or breaking of bones. The Australian SAS version is a myth and simply changes the details. It's a good story, but...

Do I have permission to laugh Sah?

I sense the Monty Python sketch 'how to defend yourself against someone armed with a piece of fruit' making an appearance very soon!

This really must stop now. I object in the strongest terms to the vilification of innocent fruits and vegetables in this way. It is one thing to accuse a tomato of being a copy but to show vile pictures of a mutilated fruit is just a step too far.

I have to tell you I have been running fruit and veg markets for over 80 years and have been a dealer for a further 20 years and I have the upmost respect for this innocent and fine upstanding delight.

Any counter objection to my objection will be met with legal action as I know a bloke who knows another bloke down the pub who had some legal training and says I can sue on a no win no fee basis and I will definitely win.

What next, potatoes being cut into little strips and put into boiling oil until they are dead?
