Opposite facing bugles on Boss badges
Good day
These are for sale on eBay. Bugles facing different ways. Bell to the left is Light Infantry etc but what is the right facing one? Many thanks James https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/UNIDENTIF...53.m1438.l2649

Some distant, murky, vague recollection is making me think the right-facing example might be cadet-related. Probably completely incorrect, but just my thruppence ha’penny’s worth.

A very nebulous and somewhat fanciful answer; is it conceivable that they were once worn as collar badges and here you would have a matching pair.
Although I don't know of any literature that indicates bosses were ever used as such, it is feasible. Shoot me down now.  Regards. Brian

So a puzzle. They appear to be unusually well matched so collars may be the answer but never heard of boss badges being used as collar badges.
