Default Warwickshire Shoulder Title

I picked this shoulder title up today in an auction lot. Along with some other very nice Warwicks items. From the photo in the auction catalogue I dismissed it as a knocked up item. But now I have it at home I can see nothing wrong with it at all. Can't find any reference to it in my books and can't find anything on the net. I would really appreciate any help.

Not an expert, and not consulted any reference works as I am a bit 'tied up' at present ... Could the 1 be reshaped from a T - not an unknown practice within some units, but not knowing what this adds to the conversation ... In fact I do not recall a T RWarwickshire without a Battalion Number so probably a 'red herring'

I had considered that. However, most of the titles have T/Number/Warwicks. Also the 1 is taller than the lettering of Warwicks and finally, the top is "hooked" rather than square. But thank you for taking an interest.

Yes Magpie - and I think the Battalion numbered titles were above R Warwickshire. I wonder if that makes the title pictured earlier?

Don't know but warwick normally relates to VB's pre 1908 and the first war ones

Here is a photo of the items I purchased it with. Making me wonder if the VTC had shoulder titles?
