Default Maritime RA

Hello all,
I know this is not a rare one. My father served in the Maritime RA, DEMS North Atlantic convoys. This was his from his BD. lots of repros out there, here is the real deal.

Nice post. Thanks for sharing. I think the earlier variation had AA rather than RA.
I've found two Glosters (my old regiment) who were both killed on the same day, 14/03/1941. The CWGC states "DEMS personnel".

I've read enough to understand that Royal (Maritime) Artillery personnel, more often than not AA trained, were DEMS, but I'm not understanding why my two Glosters could be DEMS personnel. I see the two Regimental numbers are very close.
Have you got any ideas re my guys?
