Default GMGR

This came today and I would appreciate your thoughts on it.
It is 45mm in height and 40mm wide
It looks to be cast and has 2 lugs N/S

Not a badge I would buy. I doubt genuine period cast copies exist, the crown on this does not match an original, though i'm no expert. Been various North South lugged cast badges on ebay recently. Regards, Paul.

I agree that this badge is not good. I too have never seen a cast example. Of course Indian badges were cast, but this one is not typical of those in the course appearance of the metal and style of lugs. The unit was also never in India or Egypt either to my knowledge.

Very crude, I see no reason why the regiment would have had such badges made, I would just go for a basic original die struck example if I were you.
