Default 1st Kings Dragoon Guards Shoulder Title

Spotted this on Ebay, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Victorian-...item5669800aa9

These are rare shoulder titles and there are two sizes, you can see the difference in quality of the one in the link and the two pairs of genuine ones I own. Caveat emptor

Well spotted Malc. Looks like anything is "fair game" these days from "anyone" with just an eye for screwing/swindling people. That particular seller has done very well. Just got to get back to my shed and get that old brass sheet out to make some more.
Rgds, David

Hate to say this boys but there's nothing wrong with it... As you say Malc, the ones you have are the ones made "properly" in the UK and I must admit... The smaller type are new to me...never seen them before.... But this one up on EBay is a Theatre copy made by Indian craftsmen to replace lost ones... I have a number of variations... They were cast then shaped with a file... Westlake notes them too.... 18 and 19 on Plate 1. I now own those two examples.
Not seen one with the bar across the D & G before though.
