Default R.J.Smith

A friend told me yesterday that he had recieved a letter from R.J. Smith `s wife telling him that sadly Bob has passed away.

R.J. Smith was the co author of a number of the books in the "Uniforms of the British Yeomanry Force 1794-1914 " as well as some articles in Military Modelling.

We corresponded in the 1970`s and 1980`s and gave me a lot of information on the dress and insignia of the Lancashire Hussars He had a particular interest in the Lancashire Hussars because a relative of his was the last RSM prior to WW1.

In 1974 Bob in a letter to a friend said that he had about 4000 photos of the Yeomanry pre 1914.

A sad loss .
