Reported, however, I suspect that little or nothing will be done by ebay.

If they don't consider them hallmarks they most probably won't do anything the same as the royal warrant and by appointment marks.

It is a criminal offence to fake hallmarks. A Chester antique dealer went to prison about 25 years ago for this. However as has been pointed out , if they are not copying known British Hallmarks , then probably nothing would be done .

My thoughts would be that it is just another reproduction that can be added to all the others that have been produced, although, it is not being list as new, it is quite obvious that it is brand new.
I cannot read the hallmarks, if they actually are hallmarks, that are current and lawful and the material used is actually silver, then there is no issue. However, if the material is not silver, or, if the hallmarks are completely fake, or fake, in that they were, lets say, forth or fifth cycle Birmingham marks for the nineteenth century that would make the badge appear to be older than it actually is, then very clearly, there would be legal issues. The seller quite openly advises that they are new reproductions when asked.

I got in touch with him too, he told me they were Birmingham Hallmarks. But no date letter ?
