I think I have had this on before, just trying again, maybe somebody may know what this badge is.

Could this be a Pakistan badge? Signals would be my thoughts!

Thanks Billy, yes I am hoping it is Pakistan Signals. Be good if someone could confirm that. It came with a blue backing so may very well be Signals.

I would think the same: Pakistan and probably signals.
The problem is that wehn you serach with e.g. Google for images of the Pkistan Signal Corps badge, you will not find something like this, but variants on the "Jimmy" theme and more modern, with Jimmy replaced by crossed signal flags. But from a distance the same outline. For today: Pakistan Army Cors of Signals And looks at this page (owned by a memeber of this forum): Asia where you can find both the 1947-1976 as the since 1976 ones. None of them like your badge.

I wonder if this might be from the Indian princely state of Bahawalpur, now in Pakistan, check out Tony McClenaghan’s ‘The Maharajas’ Paltans, a very fine 2 volume work on the badges of the native states, published in India by Manohar in 2013. I took a look and although I could not see this, there were some very similar looking badges

This does'nt help at all, but having spent some time looking for the image in case it did show similar insignia I thought I'd post it.
