26th Stanstead Dragoons tunics
Would love to see any old photos of this unit wearing these ackets circa 1912. We have here and Officers patrol jacket and a EM's two pocket 7 button Serge...both Red with Black facings....

I visited the Stanstead museuma few years ago but they had no photos of 26th.
I have this cap in my collection. edit - Forgot I had this one also. Both in my collection. Note the velvet band which was peculiar to the 26th.

The velvet band hides a terrible secret!!!
It hides a 13th Scottish Light Dragoons cap! Officer level recycling? It's light stitched all around and fixed with 2 pins in the front, behind the cap badge. |
