Tudor crown over ERI cipher button
Hi folks!
Cataloging again. Tudor crown over ERI cipher button, made by Smith & Wright Ltd from Birmingham. British? Canadian? Elizabeth or Queen Mother?  Thanks!

Hi Patrick
I think they had several Colonial/Commonwealth uses. If you want one close to home, how about the Canadian Mounted Rifles, early 1900's. They were the first pattern worn, before they became "Royal". I agree with David, this is possibly a 'generic' colonial/commonwealth button but considering where you are (and presumably where the button was found)his suggestion of Canadian Mounted Rifles 1901-03 seems a very good bet! The 'E' would be for King Edward VII, by the way. Regards Roger
