Default WW1 Relic Cap badge collecter signing in !

I would just like to take this opportunity to say hello and introduce myself. I am a " starting out " collector of WW1 British and Commonwealth ground recovered / relic metal insignias . I am looking to build a collection of WW1 Cap badges, collar insignias and indeed shoulder titles . I look forward to sharing my collection with you as it hopefully starts to form and grow over the coming months / years Thankyou very much for having me here and I look forward to our paths crossing . Regards . Jim

Well, that should be interesting if you can stick to only dug pieces. I'm sure it's going to take some time but the stuff IS out there and of course it's in various states of decay or condition. My Son has dug a few pieces and we always wonder if the loser got into trouble for his loss! Good luck to you! DJ

Indeed good luck. I have a few pieces I have found over the years on the Somme. Priceless to me as I know the provenance behind each badge and in most cases can attribute to battalion and date lost.

Welcome and good luck in your enterprise. I likewise enjoy detecting and have recovered many choice items that would otherwise have remained in oblivion. Look forward to see any relics you would like to show.
