Unusual tank badge
I have never seen this tank badge before, looks like its on the bus driver jacket. Its from a 1970's Cdn Armour newsletter.

I believe that rank with the maple leaf above it is master sergeant.

Was the tank badge made from brass?

Sgt Rank
The three stripes with maple leaf was the rank of Sergeant at unifcation in 1968 and remains so.

Yup, soft but well-cut and smoothed.

Interesting the Centurion was chosen, the Leopard was in use by then. Throw back to back in the day I guess.

The badge was in use much earlier than 1970. It was while the Centurion was still in Canadian service.
