Default 16th Light Horse invite

While this is not a badge it does have a picture of one on it.... thought the members might like to see it as it has some great references to it...

I love Canadian place names - "Indian Head Troop". Half of the fun of collecting Canadian badges is learning Canadian geography, especially with the units that were spread out over rural areas.

Default This may be more important than it looks.

This is the sort of item that should be photocopied and sent to the Department of Heritage and History in Ottawa. It's possible that no other records are filed there regarding the opening of an armoury in this obscure rural location.

"Col Steele" is probably the famous Sam Steele of RNWMP and CEF fame.

Thanks for sharing that Jim,

A great item. I have a badge to this unit, so especially interested to see this.

Cheers, Roy.
