Victorian offs gilt button by Stillwell & Sons London.
Battle honours for Assaye China Nagpore;but what regiment?

At a guess Ron I'd say Highland Light Infantry.

Not HLI according to Ripley,
I think it might be an Indian Army regiment- over to the button experts

2nd Madras Native infantry 1857 - 1903. Or at least that what Bosley says in his15th feb 2006 Military Buttons Postal Auctions catalogue.

Tghe Duke of Wellingtons Regiment have the Elephant and Assaye as their collar badges I think,is this a possibility?
