Default Glossop badge? Help Please

Greetings to those requiring locking down or locking up.
Would be most grateful for ident on this badge:

Seems to be Glossop coat of arms with correct Virtus Veritas Libertas scroll.
Size about 28 x 26mm, so a collar?
In gilding metal with J R Gaunt London tablet reversed on back.
2 lugs and seemingly good quality.
Thank you, Chris

Default Glossop Badge

Hi PL, despite the fact that, on his death-bed, my grandfather sold it to me. I guess it will be for sale once I know what it is. Just need a jaw-dropping offer and it's good to go.
