Ball Park Valuation, Please
Would appreciate opinions as to current market value of this City of London Rifles OCA badge, please.
I believe some versions have the crescent-shaped buttonhole fixing rather than the pin fixing version shown here. Not being offered for sale, simply seeking clarification as to the going rate right now. With thanks. 63B5E7C9-FE84-4B09-831B-234F99877151.jpg. D920CE49-127B-4FE6-8A9D-C8E5F9EF139A.jpg |

Hi, I have this pin badge but with a button hole fixing,I bought it from an antique shop for £15,which I thought a bargain at the time,I have seen them go for £25, I should expect if you sold it to get anything between £20 and £30.its a nice thing.

Haven’t seen one in a while, and was discussing with a pal what they might normally go for. I consider them to be reasonably scarce (not a rarity, just scarce) and that that would be a factor in determining their value, even though we all know that’s simply determined by what someone is prepared to pay for an item. Thanks again. |

Hi
I picked up a few OCAs some years back and then got "bitten" by the bug! Amazing the endless variety of them. Gaunt must have done very well out of the OCAs in their time as just about EVERY one of these badges seems to be by them. I've got your badge but with a "half moon" fitting. Suggest that the "pin back" is probably later (50's?60's?) and postdates the suits that had a buttonhole. |
