Default Help to ID Omani Shoulder Titles Please

Could anyone confirm I have to left, in chrome, a standard SOLF title on a slip on to a Major and to right, in anodised aluminium, a standard SOAF title on a slip on to a Lt Col? All I really wanted was a standard SOLF title, so, if correct, I'll be moving the rest on. It would be a shame to break up either set, so if anyone has a spare standard SOLF title and was interested in some sort of trade - let me know. All the best, Mike

Should just point out - left hand chrome set are all lugs and split pins. Right hand a/a set are with clutch pins. Right hand pin on the shoulder title has broken off, but is still in situ, and clutched, on the slip on. Mike

Hi Marc! Many thanks for confirmation. I found a post confirming that this type of pip was SOAF, but could find no positive ID for the title. Thanks again, Mike

If you have an interest in Oman then The Armed Forces of the Gulf States Vol 2 Oman 1921 2012 is the book for you. Most of the badges and titles are in there. Scores of badges. Look under Middle East @ War series by Helion.

Hi Quicksilver, thanks for tip. I'll be honest, Middle East/Arabian badges are one genre that I could easily be drawn into, but, like several others, I'm desperately trying to fight off as I feel I have so much in my chosen fields already still to explore. I've been on the forum, and skimmed the world of Middle East badges, long enough to appreciate that you are the author. Hopefully, one day..... Mike.
