That's because it is the same badge!!
(This is the one I posted a screenshot of the negative seller feedback for).

The journey of this sale, so far, appears to be:
  • The badge was originally listed (without the medals) for £49.00
  • The auction ended (I assume by the seller)
  • An offer /sale of £300 was then agreed (this can be seen in the feedback that was posted by the then buyer - I added the screenshot of this earlier in this thread)
  • The seller then asked the buyer (at the £300 mark) for more money - This is according to the buyers feedback, the buyer I assume did not pay this, and subsequently left negative feedback
  • The badge, now with unattributed medals, re-appears back on eBay, now with a starting price of £600

So is the LRDG badge for sale with the dodgy medals a genuine LRDG badge?

regards

Thanks Woofy

So it looks the seller thought it was a wrongun but then somebody convinced him otherwise he possibly did a bit of research but anyway decided the badge was worth more than £300 and somehow the medals have turned up with some BS about the recipient info being lost. Total chancer even if I wanted it and had more money than sense I’d still not go near it.

Funny how the seller went to the trouble of finding a set of medals to go with the badge, but didn't bother to get an Africa Star; the one medal that would obviously go with the LRDG badge. It's not as if genuine Africa Star's are difficult to find either.

I must add I have no involvement with the seller.

Keith
Are all your "Spares" as pock marked on the reverse as the one being sold?

It is odd that no-one bought this badge, despite it being cheaper than any others advertised.

Sounds alarm bells to me.

re-listed by the way, same price.

Which is now no longer available so someone has made an offer.
