Norfolk Regt badges
All the Norfolk Regt badges you have I would be happy to have in my collection,
The "all brass" badge dates from 1916 and I think you have a Lambourne badge as well from the Great War. Rob |

An outstanding lot of badges and I too would be more than pleased to own them all! Not sure what you mean as a "set" regarding the OSD. If you mean the tone of the bronze, this is not an issue as they were all private purchase and they need not match exactly. The Indian made badges are particularly interesting to me.

Thank you both for your replies
Yes it is a Lambourne I have had it for many years it didn't fit view of what a norfolk badge should look like but it also didn't look like any restrike so I bought it, it wasn't until I joined the forum and found a thread about lambournes I Knew what it was. The set I don't believe the cap is made by the same firm as the collars the cap's back has a rough almost sandpaper finish and is not voided to the back of the neck and helmet as the collars are. the next badge date from Second war and post war for some reason beyond me the O/R badge rear will not upload IMG_20201228_102243.jpg IMG_20201228_101443.jpgIMG_20201228_101453.jpgIMG_20201228_101308.jpgIMG_20201228_101317.jpg Beret badges second in A/A and then two I am not sure about Silvered officer and same O/R IMG_20201223_200519.jpgIMG_20201223_200549.jpgIMG_20201223_201234.jpgIMG_20201223_201250.jpg |

Attachment 236915Attachment 236916[/QUOTE] I have a picture of a lad wearing what looks to be a C/4/NORFOLK title. I can't get my scanner to work at present, but when I do I will show it. |

So, the picture below was described as a Norfolk Cadet when I purchased it. Of course, the image is a little blurred, but it certainly looks like C/4/NORFOLK to me. Last edited by Nozzer; 16-11-21 at 10:37 PM. |

Hi Andrew
I have no doubt that the shoulder is c/4/norfolk The silver plate Norfolk badge I have spent some time comparing it to my w/m version they are very close many of the features seem to be the same examples britannia's nose the fork of the trident the way that middle laurel leaf third row up on both sides kicks out at the top the biggest difference is the void between the trident shaft and the left arm which doesn't exist on my example. As to why a silver plate exists if the w/m is 1vb why not silver plate I don't know what pattern officers had I had assumed it would have been a w/m version of the regulars but I have not seen one |
