Default NZ Nursing Cap Badge

At some point I will be planning to add a KC and a QC Australian Nursing cap badge to my collection. So, I have started studying them to try and learn how to tell a good one. I have found these two, and the one with the lugs makes me suspicious as they seem to be going the wrong way. The one with the Slider seems OK to me, but I will defer to greater minds than mine.

Thanks,

Terry

Both are fine, have never heard of these being faked. They are not what you would call rare.

Terry,
You will find the lugged one is slightly smaller than the slider one as it is a collar badge.

There are essentially 3 sets to these badges.
Silvered white metal cap and collars with KC
Silvered white metal Cap and collars with QIIC
Silver anodized Cap and collars with QIIC and anodized shoulder titles.

And there is also a very hard to find Embroidered QIIC badge on ruby felt base.

Hi BC,
Will need to look through my archives, but I clearly remember a cloth badge on ruby/maroon colour. It may or may not have also been in silver bullion wire.

If I find a picture I will post it.

Regards
Steven

Thank you all gentlemen. All very helpful and some impressive pictures of collections!!!!

OK, being a collar badge makes sense. It was listed as a cap badge. Still can't figure why they didn't arrange he lugs for a single pin though.

I'll put it in the queue

Terry
