Combat cap badges
Does anyone know which Armoured Regiments had the circular subdued badges for the green combat cpas? I have the RCAC, RCD, LdSH, VIII Hussars, Windsor Regiment and the Fort Garrys.

SALH has a regimentally procured pattern.
Note, the armoured units did not typically wear the combat cap, the head dress for which the badges were made. The combat badges were made for the armoured units of the regular forces early in the issue of combat dress, but discontinued in the 1970's. The reserve armoured units never were authorized combat badges, and any that exist were made on regimental authority or private purchase. Could you post an image of the Windsor Regt example?

John, could you add some provenance? When in particular?

The Regiment had these made in the late 1990's when we switched from being a tank unit (Cougars) to a RECCE unit. we did one run of them and when we got the new CADPAT uniforms, they fell out of use. Prior to that we wore the Armoured Corps badge on the combat caps.
